”Mars in its Retrograde Position”

Mars, ruler of Aries and God of War, is considered the planet of action, aggression, and energy. Wherever Mars is positioned in your chart natally, you will expend your energies.
For instance, if Mars is positioned in the tenth house of your birth chart, you will focus most of your energy on career matters. If it is in your sixth house, you will focus on health matters and the service fields.
In its retrograde position, Mars never actually moves backward, but appears to do so because of its position in orbit and its relationship to Earth. A benefic planet’s influence such as Venus is weakened when it is retrograde; however, the influence of a planet such as Mars is intensified for the eighty days it is retrograde. During the two or three days before and after it is turning, it is said to be in its stationary position. In this position, it is at its strongest.
