No. According to Mary Barron of The American Federation of Astrologers as well as NASA this claim that your sign has changed was bogus from the origination.

This rumor began when Parke kunkle, an astronomer who teaches at the Minneapolis Community and Tech College, gave an interview to the Minneapolis Star-Tribune. The story, which can no longer be found in its original form on the newspaper’s website, neglected to distinguish between constellations and the signs named for the constellation. The New Moon & Solar Eclipse in Cancer

On July 11, 2010, there will be a New Moon, and along with it a Solar Eclipse which will occur at 19 degrees and 24 minutes of Cancer. Astrologically, what does this mean?

In general, because Cancer is the sign that represents the home, family, and emotions, you and others may be highly sensitive during this period.
Emotions will run high. There is a focus upon the home and family.

Depending upon just where the sign of Cancer is located in your personal chart, many will be pressed to discard things or relationships that just aren’t working any longer.
