Sleuth Fest 2010, a not to be missed mystery writers conference, is being held at the Deerfield Beach Hilton in Deerfield Beach, Florida from Feb. 25, 2010 through Sunday, Feb. 28, 2010.
David Morell will be holding a book discussion from 4:15 pm through 4:45 pm on Friday afternoon… poolside. On Saturday afternoon from 4:30-5:00 pm, Steven J. Cannell will be doing a book discussion poolside. Afterwards, the Editors and Agents Cocktail Party will be held…. poolside.
Whether you are an aspiring mystery writer, or one who wishes to improve his or her craft, you will want to attend as many seminars as possible.
Following are just a few seminars that are offered: ”Let’s Play with Blood!” by the real girls of Miami CSI! “Let’s Play with Perps!” - How to determine probable cause – legally and logically by David Waksman, “Walk on the Dark Side”, “The Power of Publicity,” “Let’s Play with Ink” – a hands-on fingerprint workshop with a real CSI, “The Bomb Squad,”- by Broward County Sheriff’s Office Bomb Squad. A host of other seminars designed to improve your craft, polish your book and obtain an agent or publisher will be offered as well.
Since I’ve recently completed “Never Trust a Stranger,” I’m planning to begin a new romantic suspense any day now. You can bet that I’m not going to miss this conference!
It’s not too late to sign up. You won’t be able to book a room at the Hilton Deerfield beach unless there is a last minute cancellation. But, don’t let that deter you. Yesterday, there were still rooms available at the Hampton Inn, Deerfield as well as the Guest Suites on the beach. I also found other hotels with availability in Deerfield and in Boca Raton.
